Well built my new rig the other day all has been fine used it today all was good decided to play bf was working perfectly then boom pc turns it self of. Now when I turn it on it just turns itself off again made it to desktop once but it turned itself off again. I've checked my cpu cooler and that's in fine so shouldn't be overheating :-/ the green light on my mobo is on if that means anything.
Any input would be greatly appreciated my psu is 500W so maybe it's being pushed to its limit I'm not sure :(

I was thinking that but next pay day I was either gonna sli or get the 970 if it doesn't sky rocket in price.

My cpu is not overclocked I have 16gb of ram. My ssd is an ocz one I bought a new power supply yesterday and it worked for about 2 hours and then it just happened again what could it be this is quite frustrating

It is posting and booting btw but then it just turns itself off. Surely it couldn't be down to heat I have 6 fans and a h100i so should be fine I mean when it was working corsair link was picking up temps of around 17-25 degrees when just using the Internet etc but still ot turns off.

I have 2 sticks of 4gb and 1 8gb yeah I did remove the plastic first but just left the stock thermal paste on and I've literally just bought the h100i like 5 days ago so buying another cooIer is out of the question. I also noticed my ram frequency had changed from 1333 to like 1075 or something If that means anything. I'll post tomorrow what my bios temps are saying but I'm in the attic so my room is pretty dam cold most the time hence fairly low temps I think.

Quick update I've turned it on this morning and now it's reading cpu fan error on the Asus start up screen bit. But it all seems to be set up fine?

Opened it up and I have cpu fan pins and cpu opt pins I have it plugged into cpu fan should ot be in the opt pins?

Managed to get into bios for a couple seconds before shut down and cpu was reading 50 degrees Celsius that can't be right surley? It's probably about 17-19 degrees in my room checked the cooler it's screwed in correctly. With no plastic on.

My computer doesn't stay on for more than about 20 seconds at best before turning itself off.

I don't have asus ai installed I don't think also I can't uninstall even if I did it happens right at the start then says press f1 to enter setup hit that loads bios 2 seconds later it switches off again. All my fans are spinning so their receiving power I bought an 850W psu to replace the 500W as that was the original thought of it not working. The cooler is definitely receiving power because it's light comes on and pulses like a set it to. I've removed my ram and even put it in different dimm slots I think I had them in the wrong ones but it's still doing the same thing. Cpu fan error I tried plugging theb3 pin connector into cpu opt and that did nothing.

It's a brand new mobo and all its LEDs are on and working if it was the mobo surley it wouldn't even hit the bios screen?

I don't have another motherboard to try it on and can't really just go out and buy one I'm broke now.

Yeah tried with just one stick still get the same cpu fan error It doesn't stay on long enough for me to change anything though. I managed to get into the bios for a couple moments and noticed the cpu temperature was rising got to about 42 and turned off again. This is so annoying haha

I love pretty sure I have the h100i set up right as well. I have the usb part plugged in and then the y cable coming from the top amd attached the 2 fans to that. The esata power is plugged in. And the 3 pin header that comes of that is plugged into cpu fan header on motherboard

Just tried removing the y cable and plugging the fans straight into the motherboard it skipped the cpu fan error got to windows logo and switched off again

I left the stock thermal paste on I'll try changing that next nothing is blocking it I've unscrewd and reseated the heat sink already this morning.
