When I play star wars my comp freezes up, I get a whirring sound from my speakers and I can do nothing, not even ctrl alt delete so have to power off my comp. if I press and hold front button to switch it off it goes off then I reboot it starts booting stops starts again and nothing comes up on screen. Only comes back on if I power off at wall for a period of time. Any idea what's happening? Thx xxx

Not over clocked yet because I'm having these issues at stock values. Will try this and get back to you! I know my ram isn't running right it's running at 1333 but should be 1600. Thx for help xxx

OCCT is running at 100% timer on for 2 hours. The issues with crashing in game occured no more than 20 mins in and the webpage crash wasw less than 1 hour online if thats any help. Thanks everyone! x

Stock values on sandybridge motherboards are sometimes automaticly overclocked/over volted, are you sure its running stock volts and clockrate?Have you actualy used a program like CPU-Z/CoreTemp to moniter what the CPU voltage/temperature and clock speed are whilst the CPU is running a heavy load? If you want the RAM to run @ 1600mhz then go into the BIOS and change the memory speed to 1600mhz and make sure the voltage RAM voltage is set to 1.585 volts or lower,i think thats the maximum it should really be,even if rated for 1.65v at that speed, somebody correct me if im wrong im just working from memory!

Hope you figure it out in the end!

No I just assumed because I hadn't changed them they'd be running at stock. Thanks for pointing this out!!
