Anyway it's not the sort of car you use for hen nights and stag dos at all, you buy a Lincoln for no more than £25k if you want to do that. This is a car you hold a business meeting in the back of ...whether it's legal business or not.

Seems more than a little odd that somebody lays out £270k and then proceeds to never use the thing. and then is seemingly willing to take another £170k hit in depreciation when selling it on....

Then again, if it was paid for out of taxes, it fits!

With spending like that, its little wonder the world's economy is down the toilet!

FFS it doesn't even have tinted windows, 100K and no 1000 pound tint job, no wonder its got no miles on it, its a crap limo. This is not a personal attack, just an attack on common sense.

DiamondMark: phone and fax work? This is the age of laptops, tethering and smartphones, when was the last time you waited on an important fax?

I know your not asking me, but no they wont give a toss as long as the seats are comfortable with plenty of room.

I get that angle, but then there seems to be plenty of other alternatives that can either provide more "Bling" (I.E something American) or more something far more understated if "being seen" isn't an issue (which surely it's not when we are talking about what many would consider an old car).

I'm having seriously problems understanding this

You received a fax, how much hassle would it be to ring up whoever is sending it and tell them it has to be sent to the 'carphone number' within these hours of travel, if not send it to the office fax... the alter is much easier of course with it being emailed to you automatically anyway...

Also regarding the use of the phone, do you mean car phone or mobile, why wouldn't you just call them on your mobile anyway! Who wants to be rung on a number they can't easily return the call too? Its a ballache!

The windows aren't tinted and there's not even that much rear legroom...(still)

I think you over estimate the car awareness of most travelling execs, that car with a private plate, that will do fine, thats if they even noticed the plate.

I dont even know why im arguing here, i dont see that car ever being put into service in this country, in which case the whole point is moot anyway.

Where that car is going they just dont give a ****, iv spent a lot of time in Moscow and that car will fit right in.

We do still use fax because its no more hassle than printing off email pictures.

As for the rest of it the point im making is the market that car is heading for, the fact its not this years model dosent matter 1 jot.
