From the era of Biggus Dickus I believe.
Shouldn't the coin feature Incontinentia Buttocks?

only after he's called in a buddy who knows everything there is to know about this.Yup, with Rick saying “best I can do is this banana”
Reminds me of back in the day, we used to get a load of those fellas tromping up and down in the fields of a mates farm, without permission. A black widow catapult and handfuls of split shot used to make their day very tiresome.Metal detectorists:

It does look a bit too clean, is it gold is color? I can't really tell much from the photos but it be roman if real. Where was the field you found it in?My son found this coin in the middle of a field while he was camping. It's heavy. Like really heavy for its size. Doesn't appear to be painted and is soft enough that I can cause a dent in it if I push something sharp in to it.
The writing appears to be the name Alexander in Greek.
My initial reaction was that this was a fake or reproduction but the more I hold it the more I think it's legit. What do you think?

I'd be going back with a metal detector, there could be a gold hoard there.Photographs were taken by my wife. I will take better ones tonight.
It is gold coloured and looks like legit gold.
I dunno if it's just the photos, but it looks like it's a silver coin painted gold to me.

Also the gold has a weird blotchiness to it, again like it might be some sort of paint.
When I went metal detecting there were other metal detectorists there so I planted some fake gold coins and stuff for them to find. It wouldn't be the first time people do that. Some of us have tricks to throw others of the scent.wonder if any old movies got filmed there or any reenactments.
presuming its not real anyway.
Coin can buy many bananas.Forget the coin, I want the banana.

I’m expecting to see Rilot with this on the next season of Pawn Stars.
