I did do a search honest but couldn't find a thread about it, anyway demo out today on PSN and Live only available for 20 days though

The G/F just had a play through and it looks pretty good, much better I'd say than the PSN/Live only game that came out last year

Game comes out Fall 2011 :)

Great demo, much better than Sonic 4, physics are near enough spot on, and the level design is brillent.

the speed of the game takes a few seconds to get used to though, as the scenery can be busy

This worth £13.99 then? Been kind of delaying pulling the trigger on this was hoping for some reviews and opinions from you lads first.

You sure you're not getting confused between this and Sonic 4? I certainly wouldn't spend £14 on Sonic 4 no.

Played the demo earlier. Some thoughts:

IT'S AWESOME! Sonic 1 was the first game I ever played and Green Hill Zone Act 1 looks fantastic. It's pretty much a perfect 3D recreation of the original and I am definitely buying this.

Pretty good, however I found it really hard to see enemies due to the speed and visual style. Hard to tell them apart from the background.

Feels weird playing it at 30fps as well. Too use to constant 60fps from the previous 2D Sonic games.

It's good, but not great based on the 1 level. Like others I did struggle to get my eye in at first, characters and objects just seem to blend in to the scenery but I would guess it will be easier on less nature-themes levels. The modern Green Hill zone did look pretty ace though overall.

Does make me wonder with this coming out why they bothered with Sonic 4?

I agree with what you say about the visuals.

It's very strange to get used to, and sometimes the jump mechanic seems a little 'off', cannot put my finger on what it feels 'off' about it, but it's weird. I put this down to the fact it will be tweaked.

Green Hill zone looks amazing though, I can only hope what other fantastic levels they have chosen from the past to get some loving.

Maybe cos Sonic 4 was an abortion of a game. Good idea but implemented more than poorly. Seeing as Sonic Team are developing this one they HAVE to make more of an effort than before, as let's face it, if they **** it up this time it doesn't bode well for the fans.

Does anyone know if they are re-doing Chemical Plant Zone? That's probably my favourite Zone and music out of all Sonic games :D

I think it feels a little off when your at slower speed as his jump feels some what constrained where as in the older ones the lose of movement wasn't as bad if you were going slow.
