sonic weapons used in G20 protest

Mattheman makes most people feel clever every single day. :)

Most people in this country are stupid but think/feel they are clever. Its typical of this country to put the clever people down. Hence iam stupid yet manage to live in one of the most affluent areas in london.

It may be at the G20 now. But If you ever have anything to protest about anything in the future and you are with your child/girlfriend or mother and they water canon you and your family would you still have the same opinion if you were peacefully protesting ???

people dont really understand, they are protesting for your future, the day that no one protests is the day they'll take advantage of you, and next min everyone is in chains.

they put permits in so it can be policed properly. to protect the protesters as much as to protect other people.
large groups of people can lead to violence very quickly, plus large protests attract those who are just there to cause trouble.

you can see in the second video, masked protesters charging at the police line, as well as what appears to be some throwing objects.

there are many hundreds of protests that are allowed to go on, the reptillian alien rulers arent taking all your rights.

permits are a away of saying what can and can't, filter the protests to suit the government it wouldnt send the message would it.

*sigh*

Quite a few misconceptions people seem to be suffering from.

Do you think the permit is a permission slip from the authorities? Or do you think fore-knowledge of the protest place/time etc helps the authorities make plans so as to make the protest go as smooth as possible (e.g. traffic wise) The authorities do have to think of other people in the community as well as those protesting you know :)

Unfortunately the G20 protest reputation has preceded themselves so the police have to be prepared for the worst. Hope for the best but prepare for the worst. Ergo the riot gear.

Also seemed to me from those videos that quite a few of the protesters were initiating violence and causing criminal damage.

What would you have the authorities do? Just let protests run amok through city centres creating chaos, attacking people, banks and other institutions?

There is a bigger picture that the protestors have to consider. Also with regards to the tactic of removing protesters who are inciting violence i say well done to the police. You see the authorities DO want to preserve our right to protest but often people hijack initially peaceful protests for their own violent and personal agenda. Removal of the violent elements allows those peacably protesting to do so.

just like the protests in teh uk, were the police used violence on protestors etc... the tactics used are there to increase violence not reduce it.

if they were to wrongly deny a protest application, then there are channels through which it can be sorted.

the fact they allow the BNP etc to protest, as well as the huge protests against the war show they arent stopping anyone.

and yes, a permit is a way of saying what can and cant be done, if it wasnt it would negate the point.

The first anti war protests were denied in this country, it was accepted when some main stream politicians actors got involved.

a loud car alarm, as pointed out before.
the first video, please point out one of the many passers by who actually looked affected by it.
i didnt see people running for the hills covering their ears in pain.
and the second one, the reporter is drowned out by it, yet otherwise is unaffected.

yes they did, and there are many types of sonic sounds, does it have to burst your ear drums, or can it just be just annoying.
and here is a definition
