I looked at doing Poland last year but the cost of the flights and hotels is so much decided it wasn't worth it.

They're properly taking the **** with the free ones this year, last year it was within a couple of days of download and was at the time the only announced big 4 show. This year between the two free ones it covers the weekend of download entirely.

Missed out last year, but I was there the year before.

This year looks incredible. Absolutely amazing, wouldn't miss it for the world!

Airbourne, Diamond head, Weezer, the architects just announced.

Airbourne were one of the highlights from 2009, cannot wait to see them again

I'd rather have fun watching the sets than being crammed into a small canvas bag with a bunch of other people. I've been going to download/sonisphere since they started and I've never camped and have no intention of camping. The smell from the places and the disaster zone which are the toilets and showers...ewwwww NO THANKS nice warm bed, decent shower, clean clothes and a hot breakfast for me

The mind boggles. You're missing out on half (at least) the fun! I've been to Downloads where I didn't even particularly like the lineup (like last year), just because the campsite is a ton of fun. And it was.

I bought my Rock Loyalty tickets this morning

It was Weezer that swung it for me, I normally go to download every year but the line up this year is incredibly meh in my opinion

I can't wait until July now!

No I no longer camp at festivals...I went to the original Monsters of Rock and camped then but I'm old enough now to not bother and go for the music and the beer

Congrats, you paid an extra ~£100 for your car to be next to your tent, and a bar that closes at 1am. If it's the same as last year, it's really not that special sadly

Yeah well, i've been doing the RIP package at download for the last 4 years and since i'm not going there this year i think i'll take the Sonisphere equivalent

I'll cross my fingers and hope it is as good as the Download RIP package

According to some of the people who have done RIP, RR at Soni doesn't compare. It was only the second time they'd done it though, so hopefully it'll be better this year for your sake.

Only one lot of toilets and showers, which were pretty screwed by Friday night.
