:( doesn't fill me with confidence to be honest. Oh well, I won't be in camp too often anyway so it shouldn't be that bad.... I hope.......
 
apparently they are making a real effort to make the rock royalty more worthwile this year, I really hope so because I'm going for it.
 
Yeah besides the location and parking RR was disappointing :(

Early entry (get there at say noon?) and have justin do a runner to get us a good spot :D
 
Did the RR the first year agree it was not as good as Downloads RIP which i have done the last few years not bothering with Download this year tickets bought for soni and looking at Nova Rock now I've got tickets for that
 
Fozzy, House of Pain, Arch Enemy, Periphery, Grinspoon, You me at 6, All Time Low and Sum 41 all added

If things fall right I could probably still happily just do the friday but planning on the full weekend.
 
Well duh :p

Thing is though the capacity for the arena vs camping capacity is more or less identical. If they can sell all the camping tickets there never will be any day tickets.

Sonisphere has a much much friendlier atmosphere than download, and also sonisphere is a festival that encompasses all things "rock" from the more sedate stuff like biffy clyro and weezer, right through to anthrax, metallica and even more extreme stuff like periphery and architects.

Put it this way, unlike reading, leeds and download, there wasn't much in the way of rioting or generally being a ****, even on the last night, at sonisphere in the last two years me and psymonkee have been.

Bill bailey is an unexpected bonus, I've always wanted to go see him
 
I went to Download and Sonisphere last year, and the latter was definitely better. Download is still great fun, but Sonisphere had a fantastic atmosphere, and the lineup as a whole was miles better. This year it's fairly even, and I'm doing both because I can, but I'd recommend Sonisphere of the two, definitely.
