Sonisphere 2011

I feel like crying. I am away with work and dont get back until the 9th. My brother is having to go alone on the 8th (only going to see Megadeth). Work would not let me leave one day early :(

Good news! My work cocked up the flight intinerary and theres no connecting flights over the weekend so they have to fly me home a day early. Land at Heathrow at 10:45am. Home, eat shower, then straight up there providing my bro can get me a ticket. Ive been wanting to see Megadeth since they released Countdown to Extinction (think I was 10 or 11 at the time, lol) and have always missed out, so providing theres no delays etc Im going to fulfill my dream of 20 years!

Grats :D

I really hope Metallica play Blackened, they didn't play it at Wembley and I was a bit gutted, so if they play that I shall explode with excitement.

I just hope they play lots of justice for all and master of puppets and not st anger or the load albums (except for fuel which was the only decent song from load) :p

Anything from Countdown to Extinction for me and my money will be well spent, and Holy Wars....The Punishment Due, Dave's best solo IMO.

Cancer Bats end after Limp Bizkit start, who end after Sonic Boom Six starts, who finish 20 minutes after Bill Bailey starts, who's on at the same time as Four Year Strong.

Gay. :(

I've pretty much sorted out who I want to see, I just have to deal with the logistical issue of being bothered to walk a lot.

A couple of bands people may not have heard of that are worth checking out are

Firewind
Periphery
Kylesa
Anberlin
Protest The Hero
TerresacT

Nothing Else Matters

Very much looking forward to Periphery and TesseracT out of that list.

Also, fixed! :p

I've just won a ticket. Does anyone know the cheapest way to get there from Manchester? Train is going to cost 100 quid, and I cba paying that.

I think I'm going to be travelling the lightest I ever have for a festival, and I normally pack light if I'm working.
