Sonos 5.1 setup possible from multiple sources??

I like that!

I didn't realise they could be that close to the TV.
The TV is 90cm across, and the media unit 120, so I'm sure 15cm each side will be enough....

Seems I might be leaning this way after all! With a Sonos connect added to it I'll have all the functionality I want, better sound too, and some cool kit to play with.
I'll have to stomach the trunking though

Something as cheap and simple as the ikea stand below should give you enough space for a moderate sized speaker L & R of your TV with the Centre speaker on the shelve under the TV.

Ok, a little maths has given me perspective.....

Initially, I wanted the Sonos 5.1 in the living room, play 1 in two other rooms, and a play 3 in my bedroom.

That little lot comes in at £1966 from John Lewis....

However, based on my limited research, and largely on advice received here I think I'm going for.....

Denon AVRX 2200W and Monitor Audio MASS 5.1 bundle plus a Sonos connect, a play 3 in each of the other two rooms and a Playbar in my bedroom.

This comes to £2086.

Turns out I get so much more functionality from the amp over Sonos 5.1, full Sonos functionality around the house, and effectively upgraded Sonos speakers to my original plans.

The only thing I concede is trunking, which on researching can be pretty subtle and I have the ideal skirting for it too....

Anyone know if the Richer Sounds Denon amp and Monitor Audio speaker bundle will be around another month?

Still not really anywhere near getting to actually set anything up, but today I took the plunge and bought all the kit...

Denon AVRX2200W - finally chosen because of the fact it does soooo much more than a Sonos 5.1 system.

Monitor Audio MASS 5.1 speakers - bought as a bundle with the amp, so great value, but also great reviews and a nice minimal aesthetic too.

Sonos Connect - so the amp and speakers can be used as part of a multi room system for Apple Music

2 x Play 3s - kitchen and study

Playbar - bedroom

40m of speaker cable

Whole lot came to £2160.

Now I just need the house sorted out so I can set it all up!!!
