US: Sons of Anarchy...

Wow.

I was somewhat shocked by the events surrounding Opi in the 3rd episode. But nothing compares to my shock of seeing Shane Vendrell walking in... like THAT

What has been seen...

Apart from Vic Mackey himself, is there anyone from The Shield who *hasn't* been in SoA now?

Juice - "Really?"
*Tig's face*

Amazing. Great episode.

I actually laughed my arse off at the way Chibs says "two dicks" in that episode which can be seen in the gif above.... I rewound it a couple of times to watch again :D

For some reason a proper strong Glaswegian accent fits in really well with this American programme. I also like the fact he doesn't try and speak "properly" which makes a lot of Scottish people sound thick and unnatural on TV... Tommy Flanagan (Chibs) just speaks normally :D :D

Brilliant episode! Vik Macky has been in Sons if you class them showing the shield on tv when juice was locked up in the last season.

It was a 'shane' (see what i did there) they used him in that manor, would have liked to have seen him in a more regular role if he could juggle is work load

I also liked the name they gave him/her - Venus Van-Damme.

In The Shield, Shane's pseudonym is "Cletus Van-Damme", so it's another throwback reference.

Yeah it's clearly them. You see the fake leg in the first episode and in 2 or 3 you see the big guy hiding the safe they stole from Clay's. Although I reckon Clay might actually be the one behind it, he seemed to hang around at the police station for no reason whatsoever and he wants to discredit Jax anyway he can.

Just read an article that stated Sutter (show creator) had written Chibs role with him speak all "och man" etc but he also lets the actors have a say in their character and Flanagan just said "I'll do it my way"

The acclaimed show is written and produced by Kurt Sayer, who also wrote The Shield, and he was keen to get the cast involved in the development of their characters.

This was something Tommy, 44, was particularly pleased about when he heard the writers' attempts at Glasgow slang.

He said: "Kurt really likes to involve us in the writing process which is great, especially after his first attempts at writing my dialogue. He had found some stuff on the internet but it was all: 'teuchtar, hoots mon' type of stuff. "I told him I would do it myself, thank you very much.

I'm glad he did as it sounds much better and more natural to me... The character would have been ruined if he hadn't done it his own way :)

Check out this interview with Walton Goggins here. It's all about his cameo in this episode, how it came about and the reasoning behind him playing that character. It's a good read! :D
