US: Sons of Anarchy...

For those who don't know, the guy who plays Otto is Kurt Sutter who wrote most of The Shield and also Sons. He is also married to Katey Sagal who plays Gemma.

The scenes with Otto have been fantastic this series. Kurt Sutter is not only an excellent writer and producer, but a fantastic actor in his own right!

I didn't realise they were married though.

Yeah a small part. Not sure i agree i think season 4 has been the best and season 3 was the weekest of the four

I have to agree. Season 3 dragged with all the overseas crap.

Also the woman who played the annoying agent last season was in the shield for an episode if I remember correctly.

Spoiler relates to latest episode. Do NOT view if you are just going to moan.

Watched the latest episode. WTF is Gemma's problem? Just let Jax and his family go FFS! Op was very calm with Jax considering he'd just stopped him getting revenge on the man who killed his father.

A decent episode, but some unlikely reactions to key events IMHO.

I buckled and watched it just now :o

Gemma doesn't want Jax to go because, IMHO, she wants to secure her place by having her son as President. If Jax leaves not only does Clay lose his Presidency of the club but, no doubt, he will be kicked out for his treachery and Gemma will have nothing herself as her entire family will also have moved away.

Gemma has a very highly developed survivor instinct. She is very good at it. You basically have to view everything she says/does very cynically and how it fits into a bigger goal with her being the biggest winner out of each situation.

Also - Opie, with the exception of shooting Clay, never seemed to be the sort to act rashly. By the time he woke up from being knocked out, there were more bodies around and he had probably "calmed down" a bit.

Seemed to have been used more to link S4 with S5 IMHO.... It's set up a few things for next season....

They just seemed to have stuck it to the end of the season to clear the way for season 5, it was a complete let down as a final episode

my thoughts...

well great season, but poor final episode, i kinda thought clay was to big to kill off, that cartel duo being CIA was bull ****. they had been on a killing spree and nuked loads of people, surely that would not be supported, or am i missing something? season 5 is nicely setup, the 19'ers are gonna be the enemy with a new boss by the sounds of what they are setting up. Dunno, just felt like the whole investigation story was a big waist of time, it was to gay to be a twist, bit meh.... but still a cracking season

It wasn't the best end to the series, I feel the script was reaching a bit... but I still cannot wait for Season 5.

On a completely different note I'm loving the new version of one of my favourite ever songs - There is a House in Charmingtown!
