Sony Blu-Ray Player

Actually its primarily neither - if you ask Sony what it was designed for it is an "a/v entertainment hub" not a games console or a bluray player.

It's a computer :p

As for looking real, yeah nobody has a colour printer and an old DVD box laying around :p

Sadly its silly little comments by the likes of you that causes the problems, calling someone a troll because they proke fun at the PS3? or a fanboy because they prefer to game on the 360?

:o

pardon, taking advice from yourself on this matter I am not willing to do, considering your performance history on these forums

But anyone that wasnt being a pedant would accept its primarily a games console.

It amused me that they can pass it off as both which is quite clever.

Dear Fanboys, Trolls & people looking for an argument

If your not gonna say something constructive then zip it !

Thank you

nope, i bought mine as a cheap bluray player first and foremost. it also happens to play games. you make if it what you will but the fact remains it is both.

I know others who bought it primarily as a BD player too, and now they are converted from being PC gamers to console gamers :D

To be fair my parents just bought a PS3 because they wanted a blu-ray player but when my dad was researching in what hi-fi magazine it reviewed the PS3 as being about as good as a top of the range blu-ray player but for half the price, so they bought one. If that picture is legit (which i'm unsure of) then i can see thier angle - its the same viewpoint that my parents bought it on.

Upsetting thing is i can't afford one yet and really want to play Motorstorm :(.

Jihad deliberatly posts wind up material and comments like this in most threads, and Mr Men isn't much better, they will learn the hard way no doubt like the all the others that get BANNED. Just treat them as little children that need their 5mins of humour and all will be fine.

You what? how is it a wind up? the PS3 could easily be marketed in such a way to a target audience, you know those that are into home movies but not games, its a very good BR player is it not?

So because you bought yours as a blu-ray player, then that makes every ps3 ever made primarily a blu-ray player? No. The majority of PS3s will be bought for gaming which makes it primarily a games console.

They discussed it on Diggnation a few weeks ago in Episode 93. If you've never watched it before, it's a video podcast and I'd recommend watching at least 1 episode, you might like it, it some good entertainment.

You really are an idiot.

Trying to wind people up? It's a humourous advertisement.

I'd say the same if it was Microsoft or Nintendo related but alas, it's not.

You're always quick to "attack" me aren't you.

Grow up you tool.

Except its a games console primarily.....so no, its not.

I have to agree, I think it needs basics like 5.1 analogue out, 720p playback, dts-hd support and 1080p over analogue to qualify as a stand alone player.

Crap joke though. :p
