They also reduced my contract from £30 a month to £25!

Phone isn't free though, have to pay £40 for the handset but that still works out really cheap!

Nice one NVP. Though you have stayed loyal with Voda for years, nice to see a return on that. Let me know ASAP what you think.

Does Voda have a fair useage policy? Noticed another thread a few below this, stating his was unlimted (but 500mb with FUP). I normally wouldn't be bothered but some seem to be hitting 500mb a month quite easily on new generation of phones.

Voda wouldn't give me the offer i wanted so just told them im leaving. Already have a phone re-ordered with tmob but they couldn't match the offer.

Oh well.
 
Yeah they said there is a fair usage policy in place but it's the same one that's been on my unlimited internet contract for years... not sure on the cap but I'm thinking I could easily reach it with the X10 :(

You guys really need to haggle more, if you don't get the offer you want then call back again and talk to a different person. Eventually you will get them to offer you something you are happy with and boom, job done!

Threatening to leave doesn't really work anymore, not like in the good old haggling days. Asking to speak to managers does though ;)

I would have, but i already have the deal i want with t-mobile. The phone wont come any quicker. I'll just port my number over, job done.

Really can't be bothered as i have already had it pre-ordered two weeks ago.

You should hear DJ! I remember listening to him arguing and insulting everyone at orange just to get the Xperia (old X1) and he get's awesome deals! Such a rude idiot but somehow gets what he wants!!
 
Anyone buying the phone and taking a sim only deal?

I would be interested to hear those deals...
 
Remember someone quoting aroun £450 for sim only earlier in this thread. Though don't they usually jump up once the phone is released?
 
This is what happens when you have my luck.

You order a HTC desire which comes next day, its a real nice phone and messing around with it right now...... 'ring ring' old phone goes and I get offered a X10 in black from orange with unlimited net/texts/200mins with free handset on £20 x 18 month :eek: lol :(

its coming turesday...so will test both I guess and send back which ever.


I will say that the desire is a bloody quick phone, just having probs getting on android market with t mobile content block or something :/
 
NVP. Neil just text and said the X10 is amazing! Menus are fast, websites are really quick too and zoom function is meant to be slick. He also says it is surprisingly light and you don't really notice it in your pocket considering how "big" it may appear. Even better, friends and family discount can be used :D

Good offer, although Orange have the exclusive rights to the White version so if I were you I'd get them to swap it for the white one (just to be different!)

Let us know what you think comparing the two, I'm really eager to hear how slow the Sony is compared to the Desire... until the firware update :p

EDIT: Neil is a jammy sod! I hope it is as good as he says, he's normally spot on the mark though (if just a tad biased). I can't wait!!
