ive used the stock alarm for the last month and it always wakes me up on time

i dont use task killers either. seems to be counterproductive
 
Its from vodafone, but has nothing from them on it. Its unlocked too :)

Dunno, the most recent one? As far as its concerned its up to date.

Vodafone just listened to the issues and swapped it for a new one, but this one is even more problematic!

It if on Vodafone, its running R1FA014. This is the release firmware, which can be problematic at best. Also Vodafone have ruined the phone by playing around with the software and removing items like SE Sync and Playnow.

I agree.

However, Vodafone and the rest of the networks tend to play around with the software on the handset. It's not really fair on the end user as nine times out of ten they are the ones that are made to suffer with all the extra bloatware network carriers install.

That's why id always recommend buying a handset that's debranded, as a example CPW handsets are mostly always debranded or if you don't mine about 30 mins work at the PC debranding the device.

I know Vodafone had/have a policy that they will exchange the handset to a different model after you have had 3 phones with the same problem.
 
I was having freezes where the time would stick on my Vodafone handset, I debranded it and all is fine. 100% better
 
Hey guys,

24hours of having the phone and im well impressed :) Its so snappy! Leaves my aging n96 way behind lol

I have one question though!

Is there anyway to tie in gtalk conversations and text conversations? Or are they just kept seperate from each other?
 
Drawbacks from going for this...

-Lack of Qwerty keypad - I'm trying to use the on screen now on my HTC Dream to make the transition a little easier should the time come where I have to make do with touchscreen only.

-Lack of HD recording on the camera.

And whilst I love the screen, it does look a bit of a handful..

The Vivaz pro is nice but the addition of the Qwerty keypad then compromises the HD recording that the Vivaz has, and camera resolution.

Nokia N900 is the other option but I'm not too keen on that OS.


What to do!!!?

Nice to hear :) I'm a bit out of sync with what Android are doing at the moment too.

What version is being sent out on most Xperias right now?

And what's this Froyo I'm hearing about?

edit: just had a read and it seems as if sony and the xperia may struggle a little in keeping up with the consistency of androids updates..

Shame, as the tethering, flash support and camera upgrade looks great.

Yes unfortunately SE looks like it will be playing catchup for the X10s life. By the time 2.1 is out for the X10, Gingerbread (2.3) will probably be out.
 
Ok... So i just created a new Facebook account and added a couple of friends to it...

I'm having a problem with Timescape and the contact list Facebook section.

Timescape doesnt appear to update, it just says No Update on the tile, and if i select a contact then navigate to the Facebook part of the contact it appears blank.

If i click on the Facebook icon for that contact it loads up touch.facebook.com but its stuck on the home screen (after you log in), none of the website buttons work :confused:

Any help is appreciated :)
 
Was hoping for an easy solution to my Facebook problem, just doesnt update contacts facebook information or my own.

A leaked 2.1 update will do though! hehe

yea, i set it in Timescape - Facebook options for once per hour. Is that the setting you mean?
I tried hitting refresh in timescape but no joy, google seems to be bringing up other people with similar problems :(

Ah well no Facebook for me!(atleast not on Timescape). The rest of the phone is working nicely
