**** Sony Xperia Z3 ****

anywhere else where the price is around 430 ?

you gonna recycle it ?

Currently £256 on Mobilecashmate so yeah, was going to keep it as I thought it would fetch less than this but for that kind of coin it makes sense to sell.

Not heard of mobilecashmate before! Offering me £48 for my one s! :D

Although only thing is my one s has a few scratches/chips around the top edge of the phone so I think they might offer less once they receive it???

Yeah just had a look on other sites and they are also offering about the same so guess I shall just find one that doesn't care about scratches etc.! Although I think mazuma might be the only ones that pay full price regardless of the scruff marks but they only offer about £20....

Why not sell here or over at AVForums? You should be able to snag around £300 for a Note 3 if it's in good condition. Usually better prices and less hassle than recycling, provided you take the necessary precautions (get address, name, phone number, verify them).

My note 3 has a cracked bezel trim by the volume rocker so would not fetch £300. Best option is to keep or recycle at a place that doesn't care too much about scuffs/cracks as long as the screen is mint which mine is.

Edit*
Hmm yeah, seems so, I might just use a recycling comparison site then or just use Asda which I've used twice before. They offer lower money but have always paid the quoted amount.

I am looking at either ASDA, TESCO, envirofone or phonehub for my one s.

Simply drop is offering me the best price but they say "with no noticeable flaws", mine isn't that bad, but if you go looking for it then you will notice the scruff marks on the top edge + I can't find them on trust pilot.....

I might put it on Gumtree for a few days and state that it has the cracked bezel trim. Someone will no doubt post interest especially if I put it up for £270 and they haggle down to £250.

Damn I'm smrt.

:o

Still currently using the original Xperia Z and love it. Feels solid and it's performing just as well now as when I got it.

2 year contract is up soon and will definitely be upgrading to the Z3.

We accept damaged phones
Not sure of the damage? Sell the phone as normal and we’ll take a look when it arrives

We test each phone individually so you get an individual price

Other recyclers automatically knock 55% off the full value for a non-working phone!

No deduction for cosmetic wear and tear

From envirofone :)

Getting more tempted by the Z3 than the note 4 now, this 'almost pure' android experience intrigues me.

How fast are Sony with updates or is it at the airtime providers discretion?

OK but it's no Google device, I'd rank them as solid middle ground. This matters a bit less currently as 4.x hasn't improved a great deal over time but with 5.x coming soon I can see why you'd be asking. The pureness of Sony devices, this is a point of view thing really. To be crystal clear to everyone here you can expect white menus instead of black, an additional item when you drag up from the homescreen (called What's on or something) and some apps are added/replaced (eg walkman replaces music). The launcher looks like stock but for the general public is better imo (better controls). It is MUCH closer to stock than just about any other OEM though and I think it is nicely balanced - I can easily remove the items I don't want bar What's On. I picked up a Z2 and went away and back to it a few times but I'm using it daily over my S5 now, it just... works nicer.

Sony has a really nice OTA update system that can push OS updates and apps (optional), this is very well handled and "just works" which is probably the best compliment i can give it. Why this isn't a base thing everyone copies I don't know.

I think Sony's got the potential right now and depending on their worldwide distribution for the Z3, this might be the turning point from little to medium market player. No one becomes Samsung overnight but they do have all the right bits to me (Device, Design and Brand) to challenge.
