Sooooo.... I just downloaded TikTok

TikTok seems to reach such a wide audience, it feels as though if you engage with social media for brand following, be it twitch or other, you can't ignore the platform's reach.

I've genuinely learnt more from Tiktok videos than I have from any other social media platform.

It's great for recipe videos, DIY tips, travel tips, random financial advice and lots of other genuinely useful stuff that you randomly stumble across.

It gets a bad rep because it is very easy to watch nonsense which the algorithms then continue to feed you. If you watch of informative stuff you then gets lots more of that too.

TikTok will be taken off the app store soon.

Are you a big twitch streamer? I wanted to do this but not sure where to start.

No, I'm not big. I have about 250 followers and average about 7-8 viewers a stream. The best advice I can give is play a game/games you love and make sure you consistently talk during the stream. No dead air. Use a cam. And just be yourself, don't try to be overly funny or clever. People will like you for you. Use your first streams [which will be pretty empty] to get used to streaming and the constant commentary. Welcome any new followers, and always read chat comments out aloud and respond to them.

I like games that aren't that popular which is the main issue. Might try it anyway as a New Years resolution
