Soreen

As much as I love malt loaf, anyone had their plum loaf?

It's like a lighter, spiced version. Haven't seen it for a while, but it makes a nice change :)

Yep...i have knacked more plum loaf than the average man should be capable of.

Morrisons ran a BOGOF offer about a year ago and we bought about 20 loaves of the stuff, along with the other variety that is Cinnamon and Raisin....they are both glorious.

Tell you what though, im really not happy with the Soreen Snack....the butter is rank on those.

I like it toasted, spread with butter and jam, but home made malt loaf pwns Soreen.

I'd never heard of it until I saw this thread. Bought a sliced loaf today and it's very tasty with some butter. Thanks TehBluebear :)

Must admit when I saw this thread all those weeks ago I've rekindled my love for the stuff. Got a multipack of 6 loaves from Costco! :D

the pre-sliced stuff for some reason just doesnt taste the same... also chopping wit ha serated / jagged knife works the best from experience, covered in Lurpak butter... tasty :-)

I have Sorren for my 120 mile ride tonight. Thickly spread with crunchy peanut butter and jam :D

I eat it every day, take a few slices to work (postman) great stuff. So many flavours as well.
The banana one is really good as said. The 5 fruit one is ok as well but it is slightly different in texture to the others not quite as squidgy and more of a loaf feel. But again as others have said with just butter spread on it. Fantastic.

Out of the many flavours, my favourites are banana, cinnamon and raisin and apple and raisin.

The normal flavour ready sliced 'toastie' is great....toasted with butter of course. The only one I'm not as keen on is the normal one ready sliced as it seems a little dry compared to the unsliced. I'd still happily eat it though!

Can't believe I've lived so long and not tried this but I'm making up for it now :D

Can't believe no one has said this yet but... Stilton!

Or Lancashire. Or any strong cheese for that matter.
