Lo all

Ive just sold my d40x camera on ebay, I sent the item via parcelforce on friday for a saturday delivery. There was a problem with the plane on friday and my item had to go by boat so was a bit later than expected. When the item did arrive with the buyer I got this email :

Dear keenob,

where is manual user where is cd let me know
before I leave negative for you
also took age to send it
I am not happy with this

The item I sold did not include anything other than the camera, bag, memory card and box. I do have the cd and manual though so replied with the following message :

Dear dariusgholipour,

For one, dont start making threats. It is common courtesy to to ask questions without making threats.

I sent the package on friday for a saturday delivery, you will probably notice all the 'Saturday Delivery' stickers stuck all over the box???? I phoned parcelforce about the late delivery and was told that the plane was too full to take anyhting from my local depot so it all had to go by boat late. This was totally out of my control as im sure you understand.

If you want to discuss things any further write to me at my personnal email address ***********@gmail.com and conduct yourself a bit better.

It all goes a bit down hill from there, now he is saying there is a problem with the lens, a lens that was in %100 condition when it left and is reporting it to ebay/paypal. The guy is really taking the **** with this. Ive never had any problems like this before so any advise on the best way to handle it would be appreciated.

My main concern now that he is going to use the escuse that the lens is faulty to try and make a claim.

He is in the uk.

I should have made it clearer, I live in N.Ireland so for anything to get to the uk mainland in 24hrs has to fly over, the plane was packed so my item had to go on the boat (48hr) service.

Sounds like a jackass. Tell him you'll be helpful up to a point and if he keeps making threats just tell him to **** off and report you to ebay.

What do you think the outcomewould be if he did report me? Ive just went on his shop and its seems that he buys and sells a lot of camera gear, if im forced to take it back god only knows what I will receive :(

They delivered it on a sunday?

Either way paypal side with buyers so trying to work it out directly with him would be best.

Tell him if he isnt happy to give it back and you'll give a refund. Then sell it on a proper camera forum or something where your much less likely to encounter scammers :)

You'll get end up with his dead camera why he keeps your good one and the cash.

Laptop screen special :(

Indeed, most likely has a completely identical camera laying around thats faulty.

Is there any sort of easy to identify abnormality on the one you sold, such as a scratch in a particular place or anything ?

No m8, the camera was as mint as the day it came out of the box.

Why Ben M? He gets it back sans UV pen mark, and what's he gonna do then? How is he gonna prove anything?

OP: Tell the guy to take a long walk off a short pier.
