I really hope so. The soton logos made each society unique. Part of me hopes the socs carry on using the dolphin or even the stag crest.

The uni thinks that the dolphin is too modern compared to logos from other unis in the Russell group and a new logo needs to reflect the stature of the university on the world stage, especially as foreign students are very lucrative.

So out with the old:

Seems as though we don't want those traits anymore, so we'll go to an instantly forgettable logo :(

I know I'm being overly sentimental, but we have a decent logo and it's soon to be squandered.

it does indeed and its not a bad one infact.......


the institute which is now a uni is for people who want to become hair dressers and the like. not a propper uni. imo.



my nursing qualifying badge has the stag on it and i qualified in 2001. I presffered the stag, dont mind the dolphin but really dont like the news paper title we now have.
