Dolby® Digital and DTS® decode re-established for sound cards that included decoding in their Windows XP drivers (Not applicable for products that included a 3rd party software DVD player license in the package).
DVD-Audio playback re-established for sound cards that included the application in their Windows XP software suite (For Windows Vista 32-bit only).
Requires the latest Creative MediaSource DVD-Audio Player software. Click here to download.
Fixes:

Resolves issue of system crash when switching to an unsupported sampling rate in Audio Creation Mode while Dolby Digital Live is enabled.

I hope cmss works in vista x64 now, I've had to resort to onboard sound to use my s750's. :o
 
Wow, I had forgotten how good the quality of sound that the xfi produces was, after using on-board for just a week. Both my HD595's and S750's have been given new life with these drivers. :D
Tested so far and working properly:
asio @ 24 bit 96khz
source based games - hl2, css, tf2
bf2142, audiosurf, bioshock, assasins creed, cod4, ut3, gow, cnc3, supcom, grid and dmc4
cmss works again and without clipping
24bit @ 192khz works without clipping
digital + spdif in from my hdtv/ps3
all inputs work at their max rate and without problems
all 3 modes and their features of the console work fine

wow, so far, so good! :D :eek:
 
Thank god for this creative may have started giving good support for there customers coz this driver rocks Vista and xp nice one creative:)

i've had my xfi music since launch week, only ever installed the driver (and alchemy in vista)
 
Man you need some of the App's to get the best from it.

Grab the Vista .ISO, you really need try for yourself what you want and what is a waste of time basically.

"Trial and Error", it wont take over you PC or such though.
 
I only install audio switcher/console/THX from the CD (if no newer version is available) Then install latest driversYou don't need the rest.
 
ok, bearing in mind, i only have headphones (hd 595's thanks to you guys :) ) and never use it for recording

This ISO download has been deleted due to, too much negative posting in this thread. I tried to help people get this software, if you want the software buy it on the creative webstore. nuff said.


-seems to be loads of torrents, but on the dodgy torrent sites

my xfi's been working fine with over 4gb for a few driver sets now, no cackling anymore either :)

with one of my pci slots it wouldn't even install the drivers though, so perhaps try another slot if you're getting problems
 
If you download from a "Public Tracker" you may end up with "Gay Pr0n" or "Goat.se images" instead of a Creative .ISO (don't know which would be worst).

i can't seem to find any info on what the iso is called, i've found a 2007 vista disc, is that what you're using?

if 2007 is fine, i'll just get that iso and mount it in a vm before using it
