SoundBlaster X-Fi 2.18.0004 out now

what does the console actually give you?

They have added DD and DTS back into the Consoles Blue Neon GUI.

@ bleed, the "Creative Console Launcher" is a more advanced, GUI based version of the "Creative Audio Console" that installs with each new driver.

There is a lot you can do with it inc AXX the THX settings which you can also do directly from the "Creative MediaSource GO" bar that is docked at top of your screen, out of sight till you hover on it.

Nope, I have a X-Fi Platinum Fatal1ty PRO Champion IF I ever did use headphones I would be using the front "Line Drive Panel" with Auto Mutes (if you choose to) the Speakers so I'm no help to you there.

I posted some info though.

If you download from a "Public Tracker" you may end up with "Gay Pr0n" or "Goat.se images" instead of a Creative .ISO (don't know which would be worst).

images

the files are always correct even from a public tracker, not once downloaded the wrong file on torrent, and thats after around 5tb of data

Argh.. I installed these, then it stopped my Creative Audio Console from working. Now I can't remove them properly to reinstall the old ones!

Have tried driver sweeper and everything.. I hate Creative drivers!

Does this new driver package feature new drivers for all Creative soundcards? I downloaded the file earlier for my Creative X-Fi Fatality yet when I unpacked the drivers and pointed the Driver Update prompt from the Device Manager at the folder with the drivers in it said it couldn't find anything newer. Quite confusing as I haven't installed the latest drivers so I don't really understand how there are new drivers yet my PC reckons they aren't newer.

i just went back to XP64 instead, all games work properly with sound now, not some 2-bit botch job application to fix them
