South Park: The Fractured But Whole

Been gaming way before DRM denuvo etc has been out and I never come across a problem with any games and tbh never even hear about it unless people on these forums are whining about it.

I just don't get it..

Why do people hate it so much or do they just have sand in there vaginas?

Denuvo is a horrible system run by people who (from memory) owned Securom, another DRM. When Securom went belly up, their servers went offline which caused issues playing games unless the developer removed it.

I've NEVER had perfomance issue that people say about Denuvo - my SSDs are fine etc - but the fact they are a single point of fail if they were to shut down tomorrow, means people aren't happy with them.

After seriously hammering the game over the last 2 nights, I've completed it at last. Found it to be longer than the first game by a fair bit (I completed the first game in around 12 hours and this one took 23 hours). Cant really decide whether I liked it more or less than the first game. I feel the first game had more variety and tbh, more risque humour, this one felt a little like it played it more safe in terms of the "adult" content. Enjoyed it overall and felt it was a good continuation of the game series, although I did feel like it dragged a little for the last couple of hours.

There's so much going on at the minute in PC games that the release for this game has slipped past me - but I liked the first one so much I might just have to get this sooner rather than later!

In the same boat I'll do what I did with the first and pick it up when it's on sale, from the streams and videos I've seen so far it looks like a sequel that actually improves on things.

Lots of factors why is annoys people, this game also can not be played offline. You need an active connection to the net to play it, another reason why it ****** people off.

Can't put this game down, no idea why steam has so many negative reviews. Finding the combat a lot more engaging than in Stick of Truth.

I imagine some of the negativity comes from the anti-ubisoft crowd, there are some out there who simply hate everything Ubisoft and will instantly hate on a game from Ubisoft just because its Ubisoft and whether the game itself is good or not is irrelevant

I enjoyed it, went back and replayed half way through the stick of truth afterwards and the Fractured But Whole is a better game overall. Only aspect that it maybe lost out is that the the story is a bit weaker towards the end.

Worth what I paid, £30, but I am a big South Park fan.

So, I found out that some countries (Germany, Australia amongst them) actually censor this game!
They are forced to play a "low violence" version yet films like Human centipede are fine.

Words are lost ...

No offline play was always going to stop me from buying, but I actually looked at the system requirements today... Is there a reason this game requires a reasonable-ish GPU when the old one could run on a Nintendo Game & Watch?
A season pass and day 1 DLC on a game from this franchise is pretty hilarious tbh. Wonder how many people pre-ordered so they could take that **** in their mouth?
