South West Meet 2006 (SWM06)

On a more serious note, obviously well up for this.

Evo reckons that Exmoor is supposed to be great - roads are as good as Dartmoor only without:

a) Tourists
b) Blanket 40mph speed limit

Bodmin Moor is similar.

Don't come then, it was in Devon last time - I'm sure Halfords have a sale on eyebrows or something for you instead :p

It's the SOUTH WEST Motor's meet and the South West is generally Devon and Cornwall.

It really isn't that far, not sure why you think driving a long way is such a big deal :p I do about that every time there is an RR day..

Sorry Sam, I know you love your car to bits and right fully so as it's just brilliant.

But what's the point in having a car if you're not going to drive it?

You could always come and stay up mine then go down but it's prob just as far.

We could sleep in the boot if you wanted... ;)

Pffft 170 miles is nothing, go on you big sissy! :p

You can get a lift with me if you want, providing I'm not working on the day.

BINGO! So im going to be averaging somewhere around the high 20's MPG wise, my tyres and brakes cost more than most peoples, but who cares :)

I want to drive the car, not (only) polish it all day!

I want to drive my car, and i bloody do ive done over 6000 miles in under 5 months BUT i have to draw the line somewhere otherwise i cant afford to run the bloody car. Think your cupra is expensive elliot then double it for FRP costs.

We will have to see, Scuzi the lift idea sounds fantastic if you have the day off work give me a shout and i can bung you some dosh for petrol

Explain? I have more expensive tyres, more expensive brakes (both disks and pads), more expensive fuel economy...

Tyres you win but brakes i dont think you do. I belive you have a very simular set up to goliath and his works out about £250 for the 2 discs myn on the other hand cost that EACH :) Pads are also around £130. Then you have the other FRP only bits which when go wrong cost enough to remorgage your house.

Anyway Msn me if you want to chat about FRP / Leon running costs, let the boys chat away. Just ****** me off that people moan about me not doing the miles when infact i probabley do more than them :p The FRP has been out playing for the last 3 weekends, venues include london / dartford / Silverstone / Southampton which rack up a fair few miles.

:)
