Southern Hampshire Meet 27 March 2010 ** PICTURES **

Doubt it.

Put it this way, it didnt make that horrid bee noise a civic makes, just deep and loud. Driving past a car at any speed and the alarms used to go off. This I considered cool aged 18.

Theatre Royal's carpark in plymouth was fun :D

Recording please ;)

All done http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_AMEldi3p-M

Although you can hear it's loud on the video you really don't get a true sense of just how loud this thing is, it really is very loud.

I'm going to go back out with a laptop and a better mic attached to it and see if I cant do it that way, maybe with a webcam on the dash so you can see something more interesting that my glove box and jacket.

If you watch/listen to the video all the way you do get a lot of good noise though, it's better in the last 3-4 minutes I think when the engine has warmed up a tad, it's just too harsh when it's cold.

Well I am figuring out how to use Kino now to edit my other video, and hopefully export and save it as something a bit less huge, flv perhaps.

Well I sort of figured Kino out, so I've managed to edit my longer video where I drive the car from cold to just under 10 minutes and I'm uploading that to Youtube now, that's a better video with less interference from the mic lowering the sound level as I had the window closed so there wasn't any wind noise.

Howard my main man.

Would you mind sending over a higher res version of my little Teg to the email in my trust?

Muchos gracias amigo

He ran away before we left for the 2nd location...which was annoying as I wanted a passenger ride too...but will wait till better weather and get a ride in a DC2 and a DC5. :)

Well I've edited my other post now, I removed the 4 odd minute video I first uploaded and I've put my second 10 minute one up, since i figured out how to shorten it and make it a more manageable size. Enjoy the V8 thunder! ...although I never really put my foot down, I don't really want to rev it much with exhaust gasses blowing right out the side of my engine/manifold.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_AMEldi3p-M ...some great sound under gentle acceleration at 5:58 :)

...believe me when I say you do not realise how loud it is on the recording, it just doesn't seem that loud when I watch it back, but it is, so loud it was vibrating the casing on my camera and my dash at certain points in the rev range.

Adam, what happened to you on Saturday? Was going to pester you for a passenger ride in the Integra of torx fail :p

I can only apologise for my absence, but it didn't help that the meet at the first pub suddenly descended into rush rush rush for your cars the fuzz is here within about 3.2 seconds. Before I knew it people were in their cars and gone :(

Needed to get off to get my car over to see the specialist for fixing, that's why I didn't follow as I didn't think I would have enough time. In the end I stood around for an hour+ chatting to another DC2 owner there as it was that busy.

Totally massive epic fail and would loved to have taken you lads out for some fun, and seen what the car could do myself.

Next time!!!!1111

Not if I told you take a look at the costs involved, especially for Honda parts in the UK after the large price rises in 2010 (below is parts not labour).

- Gearbox rebuild inc synchros (1-2, 3-4, 5-r packs), bearings + maybe more = £800-1000
- Cambelt + tensioner + water pump = £200
- Front lower engine torque mounts + rear mount = £230
- £££ to fix any arch rot.

1 month in and that's the state to get her into good nick. Totally not got the funds for the £270 Mugen rep intake, new EBC blanks + axxis pads etc etc, and don't even get started on new coilovers and suspension bushes plus the heartache in replacing tthese 12yr old rubber booties.

Still. Can't wait for her to come back all healthy and better than ever :D

That's not because it's a DC2, it's because you bought a 10+ year old lemon :p Could you not source a second hand G/B that doesn't have a munched synchro?
