No. SP50 = Speeding on a motorway.

Well I have just got my license back after sending it away for the additional points i have got and althought it was on a public road 30mph zone they have put SP50 on it !?

Hmm... better ring them up and sort this out.

I wonder if it could be an opportunity to get the offence void.
You here of all sorts of minor reasons why they fail to prosecute, maybe worth a try, maybe not?

TAKE IT LIKE A MAN!!!

If you speed etc you should expect to pay the penalty to suit if caught.

And if you can get away with it due to a loophole or an administrative error, fill your boots and make the most of the oportunity to get off with it.

Totally agree !!

So what would your advice be on getting this void ?

so glad to see this "joke" hasn't been done to death and become tiresome and irritating
....oh wait a minute.....

/yawn.

Worthy post, good on ya ;)

OP: There is a chance you can get this voided but its more likely they will just correct their mistake :( Any chance to try and get away with it is worth a go tho.

There are times to suck it up like a man and others to be a slippery bas :p

"Hi you messed up my license, i broke the law but your admin sucks - can i have my 3 pts back and my £60 please ?"

You could ring them up and say "I have had a SP50 added to my license but I have never broken the speed limit on the motorway, can you remove it please?" making no mention of the other infraction or the money.

Sounds like a plan to me... will ring them shortly.

Child killer!

You know - I laughed once at this.
Bit like the very first time somebody wrote Micro$oft or M$.
By now however it's not so much annoying as indicative of a certain level of maturity.

Just because it was speeding on a motorway doesn't make it any less dangerous than your "funny" quote.
Ah but of course - you're a member of the "speed doesn't kill" and the "hitting people at increased speeds doesn't increase the chance of death" crew.
However even most of them have ceased with that "funny/cool" quote these days.
