Spa 24h

Apparently a collision between a Porsche and a stationary Ferrari, still waiting for further info. Seems I picked an ideal time to make dinner, came back just in time for green flag.
Car was stationary in the middle the track on the hill going down to Eau Rouge, got hit at full speed and burst into flames. Only seen a long shot from the grandstands, no idea about what cars were involved or whether there were any injuries. Coverage is abysmal. I can understand not wanting to show replays or go into detail but they’ve literally carried on as if nothing happened

The weather texts are flying in now, first heavy rain, then thunderstorms, then heavy rain and thunderstorms, now one about hail and not taking shelter under tree's...

Ready for 16 hours of safety car or a red flag....

Looking at the weather apps, looks to be about ~30min till rain, ~45minutes till the serious stuff hits.

Yeah, its a bit silly now. I'm seriously considering just calling it a night. I think we might be at the point where we have spent more time under FCY/SC than we have racing.
Endurance racing just isnt catching a break this year.

If only they looked at the weather calendar and worked out what the weather was going to be like at certain times of the year...

I'm currently deciding what to grab for a midnight snack and seeing how long I'm gonna stop for, might see if I can do the whole event, I'm solo with BMW in their lounge, the other 3 guy on general support, 2 of them have gone to sleep, the other has got his head down in their office by the media boxes..
