It is a bizarre sensation, we do say to people if they haven't had it done before that we can do one ear at a time but generally we'll do both at the same time.
Worse one is always mechanics, they're always sticking dirty fingers in their ears, had one guy who wanted some doing, looked in his ears, no chance, both ears were full of wax, told him to go see the medics to flush them out, he came back a few hours later and I had a look in his ears, they were worse, and bleeding, he'd tried to clean them out himself with the end of a cable tie...
Luckily I just take the impressions, there's a couple of girls in the office who have to clean them up, and then scan them and then send them to the people we use to make the actual mould, the state of some of the stops, they do tend to pull out bits of wax out and the girls have to clean and trim them... Oddly they wear gloves...
