I-War and I-War 2.......great fun! Excellent fun to play when you master the physics of the ships and a little more depth than most, especially in the 2nd.

I fully endorse DaveyD on his list there.

If you have a playstation get Colony Wars, that is a good one imho. I will have to look at I-War.

Starwars Starfighter was a okay arcadey type space shootemup better with a anolouge joypad

I managed to pickup Freelancer and played it for like 25 hours... before I got bored and got some cheats.

The story was good, and thats the only thing that kept me playing the game - but the ending was a bit crappy.

Now time to find another game!

Freelancer is great and if you can put the time to figure out how to play X3 then that's a good choice as well

Freespace 2!! Played it years ago and thought it was fantastic. I've just heard you can get mods for it and better textures etc., so I'm going to be installing again when I get a new joystick.
