Can't bear spam used to get dished up slices of it as a kid at grandma's cold slimy vaguely meaty like a slab of congealed jellyfish. Corned beef is ok though.
AFAIK only one of the chippies in our town does them (or did, i haven't been for a while*), and they were fabulous, incredibly unhealthy but god tier chippy food.
I've got a load of cans of spam in the cupboard that I need to use up but not had a chance to do, including bacon spam
*They changed ownership, but before that if I, or my brother walked in they'd go "two spam fritters?" and put them straight in before they took the rest of the order as they only cooked them on demand (unlike fish which they'd always have some going at busy times).
