Spanish Football 2011-2012

Vela with yet another goal this weekend. he's starting to look truly fantastic, and is also making Wenger's decision to bench him for 3 years a joke. He ONLY didn't look particularly impressive at West Brom because he'd barely played for years. Most people though Vela looked potentially good but just not match fit nor sharp for Sociedad from the start of the season, he had a bunch of sub appearances, then some starts, and lately has been one of the most in form players in la liga, with some stunning finishes, some great solo goals, and some just neat tap ins.

10 goals and 7 assists where for half a season he was really just getting back to being fit and match sharp, which isn't unfair after the best part of 3 years with no regular football.

He's massively better than our current wingers, AOC included, though AOC has shown potential to go on to be truly great he's not there yet and has really struggled to make an impact in recent games.

Vele better then walcott? i disagree. What has Vele done for arsenal?

Pace. Too one paced without him/Sanchez/Villa/Pedro/Cuenca, he needed to start one, obviously Sanchez was being rested, Pedro is gash and Villa is injured

After reading his comments on how bad pedro is, i don't think Nicks comments on football are valid.

You said he wasn't a good player, but he's a fantastic player.

Disagree, read Sid Lowes article about him on the Guardian.

There isn't a single player that would get in to that Barca team imho.

This is where things get interesting....You're saying that not a single player in the world could replace Pedro, i disagree. Interesting to see how peoples opinion might have changed since they took off their pedro tinted spectacles...

Indeed Ashley Young being the worst at the moment;)...then Suarez for his diving antics in the past few mths.

Dont pay any attention to Cheets64, hes just jealous because Wigan will never be as good enough to ever get into Europe or the CL:p

I will stick to coming to the Emirates and dicking your team

European football aint all that.

It's actually stupidly difficult to see, as that is in slow motion both, how hard nor how intentional that contact is. Speed that up and its a stamp, with the studs into the kidney, maybe it hurt a lot, maybe it didn't, very hard to say.
.

Rubbish, it was never a stamp, you can tell how slow his foot touched Ronaldo by his fake late quick movements he did, trying to feign injury

Scum

Where are your kidneys?

At the front of course. :D

Wut? Player plays outstandingly, then gets injury and dropped for months and comes back much worse

Shocker

How did this happen!!! It's so unusual!!!

more like, young player went on hot streak- wowed the world and then reverted to his real form.

Hellas gash when i pointed this out in 2010 and again in 2011. that's not form or injury.

When he plays well I'll say he's playing well and when he is playing poorly I will say so. I'd say his natural level is above what he's showing now though, he's clearly lacking a bit of confidence and cohesion with the team when he comes on.

Well for a team like yours, it's not all that as you haven't tasted European football and probably never will;)...no wonder you will always struggle to keep up with the top teams in the EPL...sure every so often you will beat one of the top teams so you might as well enjoy it while it lasts:p. European football may not may mean all that to a lowly team such as Wigan but the amount of money it generates for the teams that play in Europe isn't something to be smirked at.

And how many European titles have the mighty Arsenal won, you are there just to make up the numbers, you lose your best players to bigger teams because you are a bit like Wigan, refuse to overspend and be in massive debt.

Wigan was playing non league 35 years ago and finished 2nd behind Boston United, where are they now? so for them to be the verge of spending an 8th consecutive season in the best league in the world says something, they cant compete with the big boys, teams just come in and snatch the best players for £10m+

European football does bring in extra money but its also a smoke screen, how many teams have suffered with league form due to travelling around Europe. Look at City/Utd this season couldn't even win the Europa league.

cheets has been engaged, talking Wigan in the Spanish football thread

LOL he thinks they are the Barca or Real of the relegation teams in the EPL...actually hes probably right there:p

actually it was Spawn that brought Wigan up in this thread, he mad, real mad of Wigan, cant stop talking about them

:D

Come at me bro;)....as if im mad at you??...you talk such utter nonsense that i only post to wind your silly backside into submission. As for bringing Wigan into this??...i only brought them up because your insanely jealous of the teams that do compete in CL or Europa league

Yeh come at me bro:cool:
