Maybe it's just me, but there's no excitement in watching these overtakes at all, apart from on the first few laps of course. After that there's too many variables involved which deaden the impact.

With the tyre performance difference Monaco will be mad.

I have to say, it's hard to understand quite what's happened to Alonso to go from leading into turn 1 to being in danger of losing out to both Mercedes cars - has he really just been that slow? :/

I agree, the overtaking has mostly been a car with fast tyres scything past a car with slow tyres. However I don't blame the tyres or regs, because it's not any worse than when there was just no overtaking. There's still plenty of chance for good battles with cars on equal tyres, but it hasn't happened because this circuit always prevents overtaking. So to me it's no different to other years, although I am enjoying the battle at the front even if it's a battle of lap times and not overtaking.

Just not quick enough basically, that's what it comees down to. Strategy is good for giving you the jump on similar guys, but at the end of the day that ferrari isn't up with the mclaren and red bull.

Well so far this has been about the most interesting spanish gp since is rained in 96.

Entertaining the DRS hasn't worked at all too!
