This will only work if Mercedes stick to their guns and let Hamilton drive flat out till the tyres give, then flat out again on the mediums.

I have a horrible feeling they will bottle it and Hamilton will be told to save the tyres and save a stop when hes already burned them out.

Jesus, Grosjean, not only a terrible stop but he came dangerously close to not just the next teams engineers, but the guy on the cables at the pit beyond that he was stupidly close to as well.

Grosjean has been an idiot all race, ruined Maldonado's race, ruined his own race and smashed his jack guy.

Hamiltons 23 seconds back so it doesn't look like 1st is remotely possible.

2nd is pretty solid though.

Hamilton a ways back from Rosberg, 23 seconds, he needs to gain another 5-10 seconds before pitting to have a chance of clawing back a sensible amount in the final stint.

Yeah, except the start of the race where he went off the track at turn 1, then decided to floor it across the corner and the bumps, then hit Maldonado defending the corner when he was epically slow due to that sequence of corners.

Regardless of the pitstop his driving in the first laps caused his team huge problems for both cars.

Difference is Hamilton only wants to do another 5-6 laps on them, Rosberg wants to do 20.

EDIT:- they are talking about it being close with Vettel, he's 17 seconds ahead now and he'll be on the faster tire on 15 lap fresher tires, it will be a no contest.
