At least he will have tyres that will be a fair bit fresher than Kimi, Max, and Vettels, all were in a few laps of each other.
Vettel is going to have to pass both to win and he's falling back from Kimi.
98% they will be, mercy ain't going to kick either of them, mot unless stress happens a lot.
And neither of them are likely to want to leave on their own accord.
That's because people have chosen to sit on the grass hills.
I'd do the same tbh, unless I had a ticket to the main grandstand.

Spain has always been massively impacted by the presence of a Spaniard in a top car.
When Alonso was winning they had 2 races and rammed tracks. Now there's not a Spaniard up front F1 has fallen massively in popularity as football takes priority.
He appeared to be going too fast as Rosberg was slow as he was harvesting energy before the corner so was significantly slower. As shown by the rate of closure that Hamilton had.
They hadn't reached the braking point yet and Hamilton would have had the inside line on a reasonably clean track.
Rosberg and Button to Williams, Alonso joins Hamilton at Mercedes.
