The plot that the baby 'could' be his is really thin. I mean who'd want a kid when it was conceived in that way. He should have let the other woman throttle her, then had a kid with her.....she is tasteeee! :)

I can't believe Asher would have been so dumb as to take identifiable possessions from his more controversial murders. For someone supposedly as ambitious and crafty as he is, that's a pretty dumb mistake

Like that German woman though ;)
 
im a few episodes behind, enjoyed episode 5, does remind me of robin hood though, like they have stole some episodes from the 80/90's series :D

im sorry but the 'chippered' hair cuts of spart and asher for example really really bug me...... FFS they did not have clippers or any tools back then that could give a barber's hair cut like that! grrrrrrrrrr

Enjoying the series so far, though it is far too ridiculous to really call 'great'.
One thing I find amusing- What do they have against Oenomaus? ....they seem to be doing everything they possibly can to stop him from being in fight scenes! ...is the actor just crap at them? :p

even more so after the last ep!

Also I think the addition of Ganicus is absolutely vital to the show, I mean I really don't like it in shows where they keep trying to create drama through false peril- Spartacus, Crixus and Oenomaus ambush some Romans....Will they succeed????? Of course they will, we already know how and when they die(well maybe not Spartacus I suppsoe). Plus the show is called Spartacus!

Because we know what happens to all of the main characters, I think it is important to have one of the leads fictional, Ganicus is the only(main) character whose fate is unknown so is very important in that respect(i am really only talking about the fighting scenes here.) I hated some of the scenes in season 1 where Spartacus or Crixus nearly die, I just found them all to fall flat tbh, but thus series has MUCH improved in that respect- Spartacus has never really been in trouble all series, and when Crixus and Oenamaus were going to be executed, the drama was transferred to other areas (Ganicus vs Oenamaus etc).

Overall I think this series has been a marked improvement over the previous two.
 
Glaber is slowly starting to fill the void left by John Hannah, I hope for the sake of the show they do not rush to show us his demise.
 
I actually didnt think too much of episode 9, the gaping plot hole where they go from utterly sloshed to a coherant fighting force inside of 30 seconds kinda spoiled it for me.

Also I just dont understand the motivations of Glabers wife.
 
Lots of people nit pick this show but come on, its by far one of the best things currently on TV. Watched the extras/behind the scenes stuff recently and it explains a lot about the motivation of the team behind the series. You never know what's coming next and episode 9 didn't disappoint. Remember, its not a documentary but decent entertainment & Glaber is one evil mutha i..i

Seriously, that's the most far-fetched thing you saw in the episode?! No? It's not a "gaping plot hole" it's a very minor nit-pick. This is Spartacus not 24 so it's not real time.
