SPAZ - Space Pirates and Zombies

Cant remember when i bought the game but have to say loving it :p
i think its just one of those games that i picked up in a steam sale and just got around to trying it.
 
Really wanting to play this game. Have been playing a similar game on the iPad, and it has got me wanting to play this again. Curious to see what has changed actually.
 
hmm, I found the zombies insanely tough to begin with. AI wingmen *always* became infected, and my only way to avoid infection was being either a) too fast to catch or b) cloaked.
 
I remember my last run was on the hardest difficulty in the last chapter and it wasn't too bad.

Then the patch hit... and zombies became absolutely devastating.
 
What the hell have I just played .....

Bought this for £1.75 on steam this morning on a whim and only just come off it to have some diner. 10 hours just gone, like THAT!. What a great little game.

Would be my feelings too.

I just hope it's more balanced this time around. The zombies were so completely over-powered that I rage-quit the game in three different playthroughs :p

They absolutely destroyed all larger ships and AI controlled wingmen.

In fact I never worked out a strategy to combat them. And neither did the AI. Because in every Feds vs Rebels vs Zombies fight I came across, the zombies would end up the victor.

I mostly let my AI ships die and/or had the cloaked. Outside of that I sprayed the zombies with the gatling gun type weapons.
 
SPAZ 2 now available as early access. I loved the original, not sure how I feel about playing the sequal as early access though.

(I'm sure there was a SPAZ2 thread but my search foo has failed me).
 
Hmm...Pretty tempted to pick this up. The original was amazing and I really like some of the new stuff they've introduced in the second.
