Speaker cable?

From that pic, it looks like you should use the connections at the bottom.

Also from your previous post it sounds like you haven't wired an amp up before, there should be a hole for you to feed the wire through, then you just tighten up the connections which holds it in place. No need to wrap the wire around anything.

Ah I meant on the speakers themselves?

Nope I haven't. Ok then, thanks. Is that the same for the speaker side?

Should be the same. If not, they may have a latch that you just hold down to open a slight hold that you feed the cable in, but it'll be pretty straight forward anyway. Let me check a picture of the speakers... Yep, it'll be the same. There is a plate that connects the two sets of connections on the speaker itself, so as long as you go black to black/red to red, from the amp to the speaker, it won't matter which one you go for. Just go with whats easiest to get to.

Just make sure that there are no stray strands of wire that could touch anything else - amps don't like that
Edit: and obviously connect everything with the amp switched off!

Alright I won't buy banana plugs/spade connectors, that'll save me £20 as well. Do I just wrap it around or something?
By all means go with bare wire at the speaker end. But I'd definitely recommend banana plugs at the amp end. If you are wiring up the amp in situ then banana plug make it easier and safer.

This is some speaker cable I made up and sold on Ebay.

The plug ends are finished with Z plugs which are neat and don't fall off.

If you'd like something similar I'll get you a price worked out. Just let me know the lengths needed. The same for both is recommended for hifi use, but if it's mixing then it isn't so important.

I'll be honest you can get more out of the 10.1s with a basic Marantz amp pm5003 or even an old Audiolab 8000a both of which can be had for under £150 if you watch and wait. Also you can get better second hand speakers on the bay for less than the 10.1s. Look out for monitor audio s1-s5s they are a mile ahead of the kit you bought and you could sell and buy with no loss of money. This is a proposition I am making not because I have a good hifi but because YOU can do too for no loss of money!

Van Dame speaker cable here. Perfect for me. Fitted with banana plugs so as to enable me to move speakers for cleaning/ decorating quickly if needs be.

Cant remember which type of Van Dame, but it is quite thick and blue, was recommended to me on here.

I am running 2.1 Monitor Audio Speakers. (floor standers + center)
