Spec a decent case

The Antec 300 is a really good solid case. But it was more of a bargain when it was 35-40 quid. At 50 it's too much. There's no cable management to speak of. All you can do is stuff the cables into the pocket behind the drive caddy.

i linked to the product page in post no.7 ^^^^^

so you did. sorry, missed that.

tbh, the 430 is ok, crossfire would be a nightmare though. As it is, the pci-e cables are really bunched up against the hdd sata cables.

i'm thinking of upgrading the case when i get an AM3 board.

When the fans are at top whack on the sniper they are a little noisy but when I've got them on normal everyday and gaming use the loudest part of my whole rig is my 5770.

Pantheon isn't that good compared to the others mentioned.

If you want top draw no messing about gaming case then just go for a HAF-X which would last you a good while, got great cooling, quiet afaik and very good cable management.(also coolermaster are great support, if you missing the psu dust filter they will send you it plus you can get an extra 2nd 200mm fan on the top too if you wish which has lowered cpu temps by 5c or so by just adding it for some people)

I think im going to buy a 690 advanced this week. Need to find out more about the airflow first however, as I plan to SLI. There is a ridiculous amount of fan slots on them however. Looks like a very smart case for the price. Does anyone know how quiet they are?

i think you should just do some hunting and try pick up a akasa eclipse A-62 or evan better a mirage.
You wont be disapionted

Fractal R3, Lancool K62, Coolermaster 690-ii, that's pretty much the good choice :p

If you can stretch your budget, like you have to your fractal XL, depending on how you like stuff, maybe a NZXT Phantom?

i am really torn atm. i like the fractals, but i also like the corsair 600t. the emphasis is really on getting a decent sized case that i can use for a long time.

So do I.

I'm using the cooler master 690 II Advanced. It looks terrific. The airflow is good, plus I put an extra 120mm intake fan on the base to further improve it. The fans are very quiet, but I'm using a fan controller so I don't really know how loud they normally are.
