Spec me - 2k

I think i'm fairly set on 1440p and the case. It was always a choice between 3x 1080p or 1x 1440p and im not sure I have the room for 3 monitors. I can however extend the budget an extra £200.

Unless corsair have sorted out the issues I had with the 750d when I bought it a few months back I wouldn't recommend it, the corsair rep on here said they were going to be releasing a updated version but that was meant to sort out the compatibility issue with the maximus vi formula mobo not sure if they improved the general build quality of it(was lacking a bit in the original one for the price point).
I need to fill out the RMA ticket on the corsair site and get mine swapped tho not done it yet.

As for the nvidia vs amd thing, I still don't get the 'amd drivers have issues(or what not) comments as I've owned both nvidia and ati/amd cards over a the past several years and not had any driver issues. Also not had any of the reported black screening issues with the 290x tho I've not really had the chance to really test it(overclocking or stock gaming) since I got it on launch.

after reading reviews my self a while ago the h100i performs better :D

Take a look here: http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/cooling/2013/07/12/silverstone-tundra-td02-review/2

Gonna be honest it's not much better/if atall better.

These result are for Ivybridge and Sandybridge-E so it doesn't paint a true reflection.

I just picked it because it a good performer, with amazing build quality (wouldn't expect any less from silverstone and at a stunning price at the moment.

What was you're issue with it, specifically? Im interested.. :)

Like said before the 540 is another great option.

Fair enough but just because YOU havn't had problems with it, it doesn't mean they don't exsist. Maybe only 25% of people get the issue (or less) either way you may just of been lucky.. Its still worth considering.

Solid basket from Beardy, Ive been looking at those Tundra coolers and they do indeed perform as well as H100i, im tempted to get one as an interim cooler.

Id still go for my suggestion a £70 more for another GPU.

Will the monitor lack in performance though? Is there much difference between a preferred 2ms and 6ms?

- 6ms Response Time

This is what many people get worried about when buying monitorss but I guess it depends on what type of games you play, I have an ips panel with 5ms response time and it's very smooth, nothing noticeable to the eye.

IPS monitors are normally 5ms/6ms due to their nature/design...

And as said by Hank, should be un-noticable to the eye.

I have the dell U2713HM and i couldn't be happier... the nice thing about the Asus is that it will go in to portrait mode... if you happen to do any software development work, this feature is very nice. That said, the hazro screen does look quite nice and would save you £100. Not sure what the reviews say about it though...

although you get a second card in doomed's build, you get the case and monitor you want and a bigger SSD in mine...

From post #66 for my issues, the main one was with the incompatibility of the motherboard(maximus vi formula) so is not relavent for michaelp unless he decides he likes that motherboard but there are build quality niggles you wouldn't expect in a case at the price point.

As for the graphics card issues, I never said the issues don't exist. Its all the 'ati/amd drivers are crap and nvidia just works' that I have issues with, as I've said I've owned cards from both camps and not had any issues on either side. The no issues with the 290x was just an observation, tho as I said I've not had the chance to test it mainly due to the cpu(4770k) giving high temperatures. currently using the stock cooler tho I tried the ocuk h2flo cooler(basically the corsiar h60), due to the temps I've not been comfortable in trying for extended gaming session.

I'm a web developer so portrait mode can come in handy. I also like the look of the monitor more than the Hazro.

I've taken in to account some of the changes you've made in your builds and made some changes to my basket for another review. I don't really know much about motherboards or what to look for with them so any faults with the G1.Sniper?

I would be open to changing the case if this one is going to cause me issues but I'm not a big fan of the wide cases like the 540.
