Spec me: £50k 4x4

I recently looked into XC90 vs. Q7 as a family vehicle (before settling on an E-Class for various reasons.

My findings were that the Q7 felt more premium, at least by my definition of the word, and that the engine (in 270PS guise) was immensely better.

I also far preferred the look and feel of the conservative yet techy and modern interior vs. the Volvo, which whilst nice enough, felt a bit old-fashioned somehow (despite the huge touch screen). The infotainment / interface thereof is also much better than the touch screen in the XC90, though the XC90's is more akin to the Tesla solution if that's your definition of infotainment prowess.

If I was spending £50k on an SUV then ignoring the Q7 would be based on my heart, not my head.
