i'd go with most of cre's spec, aside from :

cpu swap for the 2500K (only need the 2600K if your into video editing etc)

mobo asrock extreme 4 gen 3

psu Corsair Professional Series HX1050 modular, allows for you to sli the 580 at a later date, if thats not something you think you'll do 750w should do fine.

cooler : Antec Kúhler H2O 620 (£50)

data drive : Samsung SpinPoint F4 EcoGreen 2TB

i wouldnt bother with a sound card for the time being, if you need one at a later date have a look at something like the Asus Xonar Essence STX.

would a blue ray drive be of use or do you have a setup for that already ?

The Samsung SpinPoint F4 EcoGreen 2TB HDD is at 5400RPM, with his budget, if he ever needs 2TB, h'll be better off with buying 2 of the 1TB HDDs or buy another 2TB hdd at 7200rpm

not noticed any problems using it on my system compared to my f3.

But there's always atleast a slight difference especially if it is your boot drive and when you load up a program

his system has the ssd for the boot drive, and with 128gb it will be more than enough to house programs that can make use of it's speed, f4 was recommended purely as a data drive, which is what i use mine for.

if he has a budget of £1500......

if you have HDDs and optical drives you can take from the other build if worth it i would get these in SLI http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-129-MS with pretty much the same spec as this.

Cheaper cooler and cheaper PSU and you would be sorted..... unless you wish to do more with it than gaming.

Guys what can i say , thanks for the replys and so fast too ..... :) , I already have a blue ray setup so that is not really a issue , also i was thinking of going along the lines of one of the above I7 builds as in the future i might do some editing / cad work .
Some exelent looking builds above , just got to choose :)

regards

Michael

You'd get 2 570's in SLI over 2 580's....

To the OP

Was unaware, about the i7 though, so if that's the case you could drop the 580's down to 570's that haddow suggested, and get an i7 instead
