Spec me a bed!

I want a new double bed!

Nothing to expensive and wondered where i could get a pretty decent double bed with mattress.

Ive seen some in sales for like £70 but you need to collect from a specific store etc.

Dont want anything too dear.

I spent around 700 quid on a bed last year, and it's certainly not been a waste of money. After years sleeping on old/cheap beds, the difference is amazing, and I get a perfect night's sleep. I realise this is slightly more than you wanted to spend (;)) but having tried some ~£300 beds, I can't see how a £70 bed would be any better than a concrete floor.
 
For Christ's sake just go down Ikea and lie in some.

Do NOT, and I repeat, NOT buy one from Argos. We had the most horrific experience buying a bed from them I daren't go into the details as I quite frankly can't be bothered typing so much.

That one has since been carved into a single bed with some DIY skills, and the King we use at the moment is an Ikea -- comfy as anything, except the slats tend to dislodge occasionally in the midst of *ahem* bedtime action. Feels like you're in a Die Hard movie or something though, so it's all good.
