@ Axeman,

Unless i missed it, What mobo and ram are you using?

Here is what it looked like on my mobo about 3 hours ago.. LOL. Notice that I had to put the mobo pwr cable and RAM in BEFORE I put the P5Q back in the Case. It would have been impossible to do after otherwise.

I'm surprised at how the Noctua is cooling

That's 3.75Ghz @ 1.3v, 20 runs of InterlBurnTest, with max core temps of 60ºC, ambient room temp of 23ºC and just a Tuniq Tower 120 with a single Akasa Apache fan @ 1400rpm.

I would have though that 0.07v less vcore + a considerably larger cooler with 2 fans would give more than a 2ºC advantage.

Good temps.

My D14 is crammed into a pathetic, bog standard Atx case. Forget about proper airflow, I aint got it.!!:D

Put it in a respectable case and i'm sure it might be a little different.

The D14 really shines, when the heat is on. My 3.7ghz doesnt make it break a sweat. It was designed for the top end Amd's/i5/i7 @ 4+ ghz market in mind. Not my C2Q.

Ah gotcha!

My Raven 2 has pretty hardcore airflow.

I ordered my NH-D14 yesterday.

I'll have some fun and games fitting this cooler in a couple of days time.

I'll try to remember to do some before and after piccies.

I should have plenty of space in my CM Storm Scout case.

Run IBT on "High" memory and 4 Threads not "Auto" and you will see the real temp difference. "Auto" does'nt stress your CPU 100%.:D
