I'm thinking that whenever anyone starts a 'spec me' thread, the usual first reply is to ask 'what's your budget?'

OCUk have some decent curries in the B grade section.... matched with a capable cooler, you should be good to go. Don't forget thermal/curry paste as the stock stuff isn't up to much.

Kashmiri curry would probably suit you.
It is not a hot curry, but worth asking the take-away to leave any chilli's out.

Another vote for butter chicken followed by a mild lamb dish next time out.

Ask the person who takes your phone order for a mild dish recommendation. Unless they’re insane, they won’t steer you wrong and risk losing a potential regular customer.

Lamb saag. Often on the milder end of the scale. Plus not sweet like so many korma styles

Spinach in a curry, so good.

For takeaway last night we used the radhuny in pickford lane. My favourite restaurent to go to is s3 in falconwood.

Yes, see also saag aloo, (spinache potatoe and veg) and saag panier, with panier cheese

Lamb Saag - Spinach
Methi Lamb - Fenugreek
Rogan Josh - Tomato based
Bhuna - Onion based
Tikka Massala - Cream based
Kadai - Onion and Peppers

Most of these are all tempered with their spices. I can honestly recommend all of them if you can find a restaurant that does some of the more obscure ones.

I find Tikka Masala nice for about 5 mouthfuls before it starts getting too sweet and sickly
