You did say "best possible" and that spec is it.

But actually, I doubt you will ever add a second GTX580, not many people do get a multi graphics card setup in reality.

And the motherboard maybe, it's (x16 + x4).

Personally I prefer Redmint's suggestion, even if it's not a 580, it well rounded.

Looks like a solid build.

I'll be buying something very similar to this in the next 2 weeks, and was also looking at that Zalman case so please keep us updated with the build (also with photos!)

+1 to Stulid's build as you asked for best possible gaming rig.

However if you are going to use it for more than gaming then either get Stulid's and later a SSD, or get Redmint's build.

The CM 690 II is a quality case, the only niggle I have with it is some of the screws seem poor quality as they just ripped up when I used my screw driver (Correct size). It's not really an issue, but I came across it when I chose to remove the unnecessary parts such as the cages etc.

Overall I am very happy with it.

I had my PC for 3 months and I was amazed (going from a dual core 1.7 craptop) then I added an SSD.

Whole different PC experience.
