Spec me a good Sci Fi Series...

I watched all of Dark Angel without knowing it got cancled at season 2.

Feel so annoyed! I actually loved the show, i miss max and Logan :(

yea, always wanted the rest of the story, hopefully someone will restart it, though i dont think god's gift to man will want to play max again :(

Max and Logan had 0 chemistry, he was so wooden.
Which is odd as they were a rl couple at the time.

Some less known sci-fi worth watching are:
Jeremiah, vr5, odyssey 5, dark skies, Brimstone, american gothic & The Outer Limits

I loved it, i watched it all in a few weeks. I'm annoyed Max and Logons story is unresolved

I wish it would come back! Jessica really did own as Max.

Is there any relation to Hitman? Film seems to have scenes at the start ripped right out of dark angel, and the bar code thing ?

I know you wanted a good Sci-Fi series but does any remember "Space: Above and Beyond"? It was a bit pap but it kept me entertained when it was aired on BBC 2 in the late '90s. Missed the last episode and it has never been shown since.

How dare you say it was pap, you're ruining my childhood memories! :p Another vote for this one, they released it on dvd recently so worth picking up a copy. Shame it got cancelled.

Threshold is great although it only lasted one series. An older series around the time of X-files was Dark skies, had the potential to blow Files out the water but they dumped it after one series, idiot networks:rolleyes:

Threshold was so pap it didn't even make the end of series 1, it was cancelled halfway through.

As for the OP asking for good scifi and then writing off 3 of the best in the opening sentence.

as someone mentioned earlier, maybe Lexx? though it was pretty cheesy :)

theres also Sliders (though this got a bit 'meh' towards the end) and Seven Days that i always thought was ok

+1 for Space Above and Beyond, if only for Kristen Cloke as Vansen...

The show is great, and kristen cloke looked good at the time, but when I was watching the film Black Christmas I seriously thought the twist would be her character was a man in drag (I thought she had manly hands). When I looked on IMDB and found out she was in S.A.A.B., a show I half remembered from its initial run, I watched the whole series and it is good, even if the end is a little bleak, and the effects pretty dated.

I now hope your image of Cloke is as (unjustly) sullied as mine :D

If you hate Babylon 5, there is no hope for you :(

Most great Sci-Fi series have already been mentioned in this thread.

Earth 2, Space Above and Beyond are 2 that never made it past the first series although both were good in their own way.

Although not strictly Sci-Fi, American Gothic and Invasion were good as well (both created by the same person).

If you want a bit of 80's cheese watch "V".
