Anyway, could someone advise me please whether there be significant sound improvement if I replace on board sound card of my z77 ud3h motherboard with one of the recommended sound cards such as:

Asus Xonar DG 5.1 PCI Sound Card with built in Headphone Amp - OEM
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=SC-012-AS
?

I am using 5.1 creative speakers mid range and sometimes play using head phones.

My pc is used for gaming and movie & song play.

Pictures will come soon. Thanks for your patience.

Thanks

Here is my green dragon 888. Please note ingenious placement of cable modem on top of 200m exhaust fan. Cools it nicely.

Wow Arek nice one, this is such a "green" system. Amazing how you refer to it as a "Dragon" as well, you can almost hear it roar with beastial vigor!

It is exactly how i imagined it, the rumours are true. you ARE the greatest.

Sound quality? No probably not. Any benefit at all through speakers? Probably not. Quality at loud volumes and increased volume through headphones? Yes.

All you will gain is better clarity at higher volumes and also an increased volume when using headphones due to the amp.

An expensive card with some good speakers? Yes. The DG 5.1 is only really good for the headphone amp though. I have one and it's great, but it doesn't do much through my speakers.

Benq XL2420T 24" TRUE 120Hz will soon be my newset addition. And OCUK is doing it for 270 posted! mmmm nice

Heard lots of good about this monitor and the switch from 60 to 120 mhz is apparently amazing like going from 1.6 liter to v8 engine!

Also decided to go with benq as they have nice looking eco stance

"RoHS Compliance
BenQ do care about our living environment; all BenQ LCD monitors have RoHS certification (Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances). The RoHS Directive stands for "the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment". This Directive bans the placing on the EU market of new electrical and electronic equipment containing more than agreed levels of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) flame retardants"

Just letting people know my latest developments.

Aren't you interested in the monitor with the Nvidia 3D Vision 2.0 Kit and free Borderlands 2 game at £367.99?

I have bough another monitor, a 23 inch 120mhz one. Please explain to me how to set it up with my current rig so that 23 monitor will be used for games/movies and my old one as a side one. Where do I plug which? thanks
