Spec me a man bag...

dont do it, you will only be a pain in the neck! plus you have to collapse the handle each time you want to go up and down stairs and carry it anyway.

He certainly does! The OP is carrying a bunch of computer equipment, so will definitely look gay.
Ok lol...

I'm currently using a rucksack that fits a 15.4" laptop in it along with all my other stuff I need for work. It's fine when I don't have to go into London as it just goes from the car to an office and back, but when I have to trek round London with it I'm finding it's completely screwing my right shoulder up.

I'm thinking about getting one of those uber gay bags with wheels on it that I can use when I go into London to save having pain in my shoulder and neck.

I thought about a briefcase, but don't think it would be big enough to fit a 15.4" laptop, tools, network cables etc.

I would just put this bag on both shoulders, or alternate shoulders, but my left arm doesn't move properly so I can't.

A bag that I can put on one shoulder that goes across my body and rests by the opposite hip might work cause I could probably get that onto either shoulder without too much effort.

Anyone got any recommendations of a practical bag that doesn't look too homo-erotic?

Thanks,

G
I don't understand why you can't wear it on both shoulders. You left arm doesn't need to move when wearing it .

You could look at some back packs with proper support or get something like the Targus TCG650 - holds lots, doesn't look gay & you can wear it on both shoulders!

Hmm, seems you have to carry quite a bit and 15" laptop doesnt make finding a good shoulder bag easy. Could just use a small sports bag and use the strap. The amount you're looking to carry though and only have across one shoulder is always gonna be a lot of weight for one side of body to take. No wonder you shoulder gets screwed.

If you dont fancy a formal man bag, these:?

I've got a small oakley sports bag I got years ago I usually use for overnighters and carry on for planes. Good build quality. Although the zip snapped the other day. trying to pack too much in:mad:

I still don't see the problem, unless your arm does not bend at all.

Either way, put your left arm in, wack it on your left shoulder, then do all the bending with your right arm, sorted.

:p

lawl @ yoda :D
I've recently bought a Crumpler 5500 for carrying my dslr kit but I'm too ashamed to wear it on the way to work! :o
