spec me a mountain bike £2000

im really getting pulled towards the whyte t130s with the reviews its been getting and the facts that there is a whyte dealer just up the road from me

Having a 2 29er bikes I would thoroughly recommend them, and wouldn't switch to a lower wheel unless it was a 27.5 plus tyre. The type of riding I do is XC and trail oriented and I have a bike for each.

I was looking at the Jeffsy Comp 1 which is in your budget as my trail bike, but I managed to find a Canyon Spectral AL 9.9 EX at a bargain price with Fox suspension. I was blown away by how well the Canyon builds confidence bombing down the trails, and it climbs really well!! Any more than 140mm travel and you will start to struggle and all day rides IMO.

I would go for either a YT or a Canyon and would possibly look at second options to get more for your money.

I ride a Trance X0 and it's absolutely incredible. Every one of my friends that have taken it for a ride are just blown away by how snappy it feels and allows you to throw yourself into corners.

Not sure I'd recommend a 29'er unless you like to ride smooth and steady.

no that isn't my style i love to go as fast as i can usually to fast for my skill level which normal ends up with me in a ditch lol.

i think i have changed my mind 3 times today lol:confused: im now looking at this strive and saving a few beer tokens

thanks for the input lads i ended up going for this canyon strive in jet grey https://www.canyon.com/en-gb/mtb/strive/2016/strive-al-6-0-race.html

really liked the yt capra and jeffsy but unfortunately they had not got my size in stock and wouldn't be getting the jeffsy back in ever again. so my options was to wait for the capra coming back in or else get the canyon or the whyte t130s in the end the canyon won, fingers crossed it gets shipped to me within the next few days so that i can get back out riding
