Hey guys im looking to build a better and faster gaming rig will be used purely for gaming a tiny bit of browsing and youtubing, This is my current build that i will be giving to my missus as hers is getting abit old now! So can you give me a better spec that isnt over the top like a titan x or something lol just want something that gets 40+ fps in arma 3, also would love to keep my current coolermaster 912 case as im going to kit it out with as many white led fans as i can!

Heres my spec..

AMD Bulldozer fx 8320 3.50ghz
Asus M5a99x evo r2.0
Kingston hyperx genesis 2x 4gb
Corsair GS600 powersupply
coolermaster hyper 412s cpu cooler
HIS HD 7950 gpu

DO you have an SSD?

If not get one (250Gb or bigger).

Add a better GFX card (980/980ti).

See how that changes things and wait for Skylake in August/September.

EVGA have an excellent track record and also a year longer warranty. The Inno does have a slightly higher clock speed but you could match that. I tend to pick brands I trust more even if its a little more. Of course your choice in the end, whatever matters more to you.

Also assuming they fix Batman what I've played so far looks good. Fingers crossed

You could sell the code maybe. I have used EVGA a few times and been very pleased. My recent PSU from them came with a 10 year warranty!

Yea when they stick a 10 year warranty on something you know they are good, but saying that every company messes up at some point even the higher end companys!

yea im gonna keep the ram for sure, but i dont know if my gf psu is enough for the current setup yet! will need a new cooler though for sure as the whole motherboard, gpu, cpu and cooler will me moved to her case!

Forget buying a new CPU + board. Your current one is good enough, at least to hold out to skylake. Even if ARMA runs like a dog, on most setups it does and there is some optimisations you can do for your CPU

It will also get DX12 support

I see some green in that spec too.

If you don't mind the extra cost:

YOUR BASKET
1 x Zotac GeForce GTX 980Ti "Reference Design" 6144MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (ZT-90501-10P) £529.99
1 x Intel Core i5-4690K 3.50GHz (Devil's Canyon) Socket LGA1150 Processor - Retail £185.99
1 x Avexir Venom Series 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 PC3-17200C11 2133MHz Dual Channel Memory Kit (AVD3U21331108G-2CIG) - Green Light £129.95
1 x Gigabyte Z97X-Game-Plus Intel Z97 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX Motherboard £99.95
1 x NZXT H440 Midi-Tower - Black / Green £89.99
1 x Samsung 250GB 850 EVO SSD 2.5" SATA 6Gbps 32 Layer 3D V-NAND Solid State Drive (MZ-75E250B/EU) £89.99
1 x EVGA Supernova G2 650W '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply £74.99
1 x Raijintek Triton Core Edition AIO Water Cooling Solution £59.99
3 x Antec TrueQuiet 120mm UFO Green Ring Fan £12.95 (£38.85)
Total : £1,316.17 (includes shipping : £13.75 Ex.VAT).

Five year warranty on the GPU instead of two. 250GB SSD. Plenty of green. Fans won't be the best for cooling the Triton rad but that's usually a matter of a few degrees difference, and they will look really nice. They will be about as good as the Spectres you selected because they also don't push much air. The case's front fans are all-black and you don't see them from the front so may as well leave those in. If you are interested more in cooling performance than looks, don't get the UFOs or the Spectres*.

* EDIT - just noticed they are Spectre PROs not normal Spectres. The Pro's do push more air.
